National Quilting Day was March 15th. How did you spend your day?

My guild got together for a day of stitching at Faith Lutheran Church in Augusta, IL.When I peeked inside the sanctuary, I saw this banner:
And here’s a close-up of the project I worked on. I decided that 2008 would be the year I finally tackled a miniature quilt. Each of these blocks is slightly less than 2 inches square. Only 27 more to foundation piece.
I was also able to make progress on my deaccessioning project. One of the ladies mentioned that she is teaching her daughter to quilt, but that they were already tussling over the single quilting hoop between them. Bingo! By the end of the day, my spare hoop was out of my sewing room and gifted to a very happy newbie quilter. Everybody wins.
AMAZING I just love this minature quilt that your making, Oh it is wonderful! I just may have to try this too!oh please keep us posted on your progress of this quilt.Kathie
March 15 isn’t national Quilting day here in New Zealand but I spent the day teaching a (up to now) hand quilter the basics of machine quilting. Very rewarding.
