Doesn’t Look Like The Picture In The Cookbook

I took a class in three-dimensional needle felting at Joggles.com. How I got here from using the instructions for this is just another example of how I am congenitally incapable of following instructions to the letter. But, while it doesn’t look like the picture in the cookbook, I think I prefer this more wizened version.

This is a picture of the basic form I created before the addition of eyes, mouth, cheeks, and stem. Even so, there’s plenty of personality.

This was my first foray into needle-felting and I enjoyed it immensely. Guess I’ll have to clear some space in my sewing room for felting supplies……

  5. Very cute. I think the bottom picture (before the smile and other facial details) looks a little like one of the old guys in the balcony on the old muppet shows! You did a great job, and I think your mixed orange color is very cool. Mary Jo

  6. I took that course last year. Unfortunatley, mine looked more like the original. I like yours better. I may have to pull out all my felting “stuff” and try again. He looks more like a pumpkin character should.

  7. Wow and WWWow. I love your needle felting project and I love your loofah vine. I want one. Where did you get the seeds. I betcha you’ll have zillions of people writing to you about that. I’ll be back soon to see what you’re up to next.
